Day 1: Saigon – Cai Be – Chau Doc

In the morning we drive to Cai Be for a boat trip to floating market. We cruise over mighty Mekong River to a beautiful island where we promenade around fruit orchards and have lunch in local restaurant. More cruise to Vinh Long Town. We drive along the Mekong River to Long Xuyen. Visit to the village making incense stick before heading onto Chau Doc for the first night. Overnight in hotel in Chau Doc Town.

Day 2: Chau Doc – Can Tho

Up early for a cruise through the amazing riverside market with all its bustling activity and smorgasbord of sounds, colours and smells. We also cruise through the floating village with tons and tons of fish farmed underneath hundreds of shelters. Discover the ethnic Cham village with its famous Mubarak Mosque and watch the locals go about their traditional weaving. After visiting the famous Lady Chua Xu Temple, which date from 1820, we walk up the sacred Sam Mountain with its panoramic view over the vast plains into Cambodia.

After lunch we drive to Hang pagoda built inside a natural grotto which is located high on the western slope of a high mountain range. This ancient pagoda was the hideout for resistance fighters during the last two resistance wars.  Continue to Can Tho Town for our second night.

Day 3: Can Tho – Saigon

An early start for a boat trip to Cai Rang floating market, one of the busiest fruit market in Southeast Asia. We have a long distance cruise & walk on a quiet country road to take in the magnificent scenery and get close to the locals as they go about their daily routine. Back to Can Tho, we visit an Binh Thuy ancient house whose design is a combination of Vietnam and France with interesting involved stories but also a garden with various flowers and fruits, including a wide range of orchids and a record cactus... then visit Can Tho Market. After lunch, back to Saigon. Trip completes.
